We can follow these steps to merge vertices together in Blender
1. Select an object and go to Edit Mode
2. Use Vertex Select to select vertices that we want to merge together
3. Go to Mesh > Merge, choose the method that we want to merge, for example At Center
4. Then selected vertices will be merged together at center of selected vertices
