How to deboss and emboss in Blender for logo and text

Quick tutorial video shows how to deboss and emboss in Blender for logo and text. in this video, we will use a plane and add a embossed logo or engraved logo by using displace modifier. Before adding Displace modifier, we need to prepared an image in Gray Tone for define the depth of emboss or engrave. Then we can add Displace Modifier into 3D object, and make it emboss or deboss by adjusting strength. Steps are easy to follow for Blender beginners. I hope this helps. How to deboss and emboss in Blender for logo and text

We can follow below steps to make a logo or text to be embossed or debossed on a 3D object or surface.

1. Prepare an image with logo or text in grey tone, that colors are black, grey, and white

2. Add object in 3D scene in Blender

3. Add enough meshes into object for making emboss or deboss

4. Add Displace modifier into object

5. Linked Image Texture to Displace modifier

6. Then, we can add strength to positive value to make emboss, negative value to make deboss
