We can follow below steps to remove black background from video using After Effects
1. Add a black background video into Composition as a Layer
2. Go to Effects and Presets, and search Set Matte
3. Select Video layer, and Double Clicks Set Matte
4. Set Matte Effects is then added to video layer
5. In Set Matte settings, choose the video later in Take Matte From Layer
6. Choose Lightness in Use for Matte
