Here are the steps how we can align vertices to straight line in Blender, I hope this helps.
1. Select Object and Go to Edit Mode,
2. Select “Vertex Selection” , we can hit shortcut “1”,
3. Select the Vertices that we want to align them in straight line,
4. Use Scale Tool, with shortcut S,
5. Adjust Value to 0 in one axis. We can have option to switch orientation for changing alignment direction.
Then, the vertices will be aligned into straight line.
