Can’t import SVG into After Effects?
If you find difficulties to import SVG vector file into After Effects, we can follow these steps to import the vector file into After Effects.
1. Open SVG file in Adobe Illustrator
2. Manage the layers in Illustrator, that the layers can be imported in After Effects
3. Save as a copy with file format .ai
4. Switch to After Effects, and go to File > Import > File, or hit shortcut Ctrl + I
5. In Import File Window, go to Import As and choose Composition – Retain Layer Sizes
6. Select .ai file that saved into step3 and click Import
7. The vector file is then imported into After Effects.
