If we want to unjoin these joined objects, we can use separate in Edit Mode in Blender. How to join objects and unjoin objects in Blender

Join objects is a usual 3D modeling processing to merge 2 objects into 1 object, then we can make further editing the joined object in Edit Mode in Blender. If we want to unjoin objects, we can use Separate in Blender, below steps show how we can join and unjoin objects.

How to join objects in Blender

We can follow the steps below for joining objects with shortcut.

1. Left Mouse Button Click to select one object,
2. Shift Mouse Button Click to select another object that we want to join,
3. Hit Shortcut Ctrl + J

Then, the 2 objects can be joined into one object.

How to unjoin objects in Blender

We can use Separate in Edit Mode to undo the joined objects, we can follow these steps to unjoin.

1. Select the object that we want to unjoin,
2. Switch to Edit Mode, we can use shortcut Tab
3. Select all the meshes by hitting shortcut A,
4. Use Separate with shortcut P, we can choose Loose Parts to separate in this case.

Then, the joined objects are separated into 2 unjoin objects.
