Blender How to select edges and edge loop with shortcut
To select edges in Blender, follow these steps:
1. Edge Select Mode
First, ensure you are in Edge Select Mode. You can switch to this mode by clicking the middle button in the top left corner of the 3D view or by pressing the shortcut number 2.
2. Selecting Edges
Single Edge Selection: Click an edge with the left mouse button (LMB) to select it.
Add/Subtract from Selection: Hold down Shift while clicking to add or subtract from the existing selection.
3. Edge Loops
To select an edge loop, first select an edge.
Then go to Select → Edge Loop or use the shortcut Alt-LMB on an edge.
The shortcut is more powerful because it allows you to add or remove loops from an existing selection if you press Shift too.
