Blender bend object using Simple Deform Modifier

Blender simple deform bend not working? We can try these steps for bending any objects with Simple Deform Modifier. In this tutorial video, we will go through how to bend an object. In this case study, we will bend a cylinder into 90 degrees using simple deform modifier. Furthermore, we can use same Blender modifier to bend pipe, bend tube, or bend other 3D objects. Blender bend object using Simple Deform Modifier

We can follow below steps to bend object using Simple Deform Modifier in Blender. we will use a cylinder and bend cylinder to 90 degrees in this case study.

1. Go to Add > Mesh, and choose Cylinder

2. We can adjust customize Cylinder using pop-up panel for cylinder

3. Select Cylinder and Go to Edit Mode

4. Use Loop Cuts to add subdivision faces

5. Go back to Object Mode

6. Go to Modifier Properties and add Simple Deform Modifier

7. In Simple Deform Modifier, switch to Bend

8. In angle, we can input 90 degrees for bending.
