AE tutorial video shows how to add text drop shadow and layer drop shadow in After Effects. In this video, we will go through how to a drop shadow to a layer first. After selecting a layer in composition, we can go to Effects and Presets panel to add Drop Shadow Effects to selected layer. We can adjust the shadow color, shadow distance, shadow softness. Same with add shadow to layer, we can do the same effects to and text shadow, after adding a text layer. Steps are easy to follow for After Effects beginners, I hope this helps. We can follow below steps to add text shadow and layer shadow in After Effects
1. Add a text ad a layer or a footage as layer
2. Select the teat layer or Footage layer
3. Go to Effects & Presets Panel, and search Drop Shadow
4. Double Click “Drop Shadow” to add this effect to selected layer
Then Drop Shadow is added to text layer or footage layer, we can make further adjustment for shadow effects.Steps are all visually shown in above AE tutorial video, watch above.
