This is my render setup of Blender Material Sphere, suggested to used Cycles renderer for rendering preview. We can download this scene to setup your own material. The scene is including the camera, 2 area lights, backdrop for background, and a material sphere. The default material is matt white shader, we can add different material into this sphere for previewing, and we can further edit the scene for your own purposes. Hope this helps.
