Blender how to import model with texture

If we have a 3D assets made outside Blender, we can import this model with textures  into Blender with few clicks. To import model to Blender, make sure that we activate the addon for importing and exporting. We will go through the steps visually in this tutorial video. Furthermore, there are many types of 3D file formats can be imported into Blender, like as OBJ, FBX, glb, 3ds, or others. Steps to import model into Blender are easy to follow for Blender beginners. Blender how to import model with texture

To import 3D models into Blender, we can follow the below steps, 

1. After starting Blender, click the File menu in the top-left corner. Hover over Import to reveal a list of compatible file formats. 

2. Select the format of the file you want to import (such as .dae, .fbx, .obj, etc.). 

3. Use Blender’s file navigator to locate and select the file you want to import. 

4. Click the Import button in the lower-right corner of the Blender navigation window. This will instantly import and open the selected file in Blender. 

If you don’t immediately see the object, try zooming in closely; sometimes objects import at a small scale and need to be enlarged.

Furthermore, if we find the textures are missing in 3D model after importing into Blender, we can re-link the image texture. This tutorial will go through these steps visually.
