How to split clip in After Effects
1. To use the below 3D box clip for example. Firstly, select the clip and move the playhead to the time you want to split.
2. Go to Edit, and select Split Layer or we can use shortcut Ctrl + Shift + D, to cut and split the clip.
3. Then, the clip is cut into 2 layers as per below screenshot.
